Our venue includes the cake but we wanted something different so I contacted Tiffani and she could not have been more friendly. We took home the cake tasting and we loved them all but we decided on chocolate and vanilla cake, cannoli filling (then Tiffani suggested the fresh strawberries which we said yes to), and ivory buttercream icing. We wanted the design to look like a branch with fall leaves and Tiffani said they would have to charge us $150 for fondant leaves or we could bring in silk leaves. My mom had found a package of small, real looking leaves which we they put on for us. The four tier cake could not have been more perfect. Guests at the wedding kept saying how beautiful the cake looked. The cake was not only beautiful but it was delicious!!! We loved working with Tiffani and the Pastry Chef bakery!!

Working with Tinton Falls Pastry Chef was terrible from the start. My cake was included with my wedding package, and unfortunately my reception hall had a contract with this bakery. I called multiple times with wedding cake questions, and no one was able to answer them except this woman, Tiffany, who was NEVER available. I left several messages before she finally called me back. We set up a cake tasting, and every last sample was horrible. To double check the quality, I tried some cupcakes from there. pretty bad. But I didn't have the budget to get a cake..because it was included.
Then, we decided we wanted a white cake. I called Tiffany, and she told me they don't make white cake. Luckily my reception hall threw in some other desserts because I had such a bad experience. They also called the manager of the bakery and the manager said they would be more than happy to make a white cake. I am sure that I am not the first person to request a white wedding cake....
Also, the icing is so bad. It is like Crisco dyed vanilla or chocolate. I could not even stand the smell of it, let alone the taste.
So fast forward to my wedding day. My husband and I are on the dance floor ready to cut the cake, and our maitre d says to us "oh this cake better be white when you cut into it" sure enough it was yellow! At that point, I wasn't even surprised that they did that.
Tinton Falls Pastry Chef was disappointing in every way possible. I highly recommend you share this review with any reception hall that uses TFPC before you book, and ask them for some kind of comp.

We chose a pretty simple cake for our wedding, but it still looked so beautiful and we got a lot of positive comments about it. We chose a chocolate and vanilla cake with chocolate pudding and it was amazing! It's not too common to have wedding cake that tastes that good, so we were pleasantly surprised!

My cake was absolutely amazing. We custom designed our cake and Tinton Falls Bakery did exactly what we pictured. We loved it! People are still telling us what a beautiful cake. I couldn't have asked for a better cake...everything we pictured and more!

Not only was our cake just AWFUL tasting, they did the monogram WRONG, the monogram looked like something a 4 year old did, and it was NOTHING like the picture we agreed upon. While this cake "came with" our package, I would highly recommend finding your OWN cake.
