The Merion

The Merion was an incredible venue for our wedding! It was all that we dreamed of and more! We still hear compliments from everyone who attended. The cocktail hour is like no other! The reception set up was beautiful! The dinners were all delicious! Desserts lined the room and top shelf drinks were poured all night. One of our guests favorite memories was the pork roll, egg and cheese sandwiches that were at the door at the end of the night. Top of the line service from everyone, especially Stephanie- she was the best wedding coordinator anyone could ask for! She listened to what we wanted, offered suggestions and made our night magical!

My wedding was PERFECT, all thanks to the team at The Merion. The food is TO DIE FOR and the service is quick! My parents have been to MANY weddings, and this place was definitely one of the BEST in the NJ/PA area! You can't go wrong with them. The rooms are very elegant ballrooms that it makes you feel like a princess. The whole wedding experience there was so great, I want to do it all over again!

We got married at the Merion on March 26, 2011. The staff, service and food were all wonderful. The Merion caters to your every need so that your wedding day feels very special. Our coordinator, Denyse, was great to work with- very friendly and accommodating. Our family and friends are still talking about what a fantastic time they had at our wedding. The Merion gave me a dream wedding, there is no other way to put it. Every aspect of planning my wedding with the staff here was a dream from the moment we called them. My husband and I were looking for a venue that was different and no one else from our area had gotten married. While The Merion was quite a bit further than we originally planned on going, I am so glad we took that chance. Everyone had told us we would have the moment where we just KNEW we found our hall and 15 halls into our search we were starting to think we were going to have to settle - we were wrong. From the minute we walked in the door, we KNEW this was it. The meeting was perfect - for one thing it was the ONLY hall out of the 15 we went to that actually had food for tasting on the initial visit which meant we actually got to see if we were going to like the food before we gave them a cent. They were a bit out of our budget range and worked with us to ensure we would not have to cut a thing from our wedding and still got the full experience the Merion offers. Everytime we needed to meet with them, it was actually something we looked forward to as it was an excuse to go to the hall. The staff responded IMMEDIATELY to each and every phone call or email, the owners knew us by name, they granted every request we had that strayed from their normal menu and each and every guest felt we were absolutely justified in traveling so far to find this gem. Every aspect of the night was perfect thanks to the people at this venue, I could not say enough good things about them. My husband and I have already let everyone in the family know when we start a family, they should plan on traveling here for a Christening and if we have a girl, the Sweet 16 venue is selected! Thank you thank you thank you Merion for making my wedding dreams come true!

I had both my ceremony and reception at the Merion. We used the Palazzo ballroom for the ceremony, and the Skylight ballroom for the reception. Both my husband and I were extremely happy with everything that the Merion did. As many other reviewers have said, when you have an affair at the Merion, your guests will rave about it for quite sometime. The facility is georgous, and the service was amazing. I have received so many compliments from my guests about how beautiful the wedding was. The food was awesome, and boy was there alot of it. I am hoping that if any more of my friends or relatives get engaged, they will have their wedding there so I can really take time to enjoy it. I am vegetarian and was really pleased with my dinner choice. The cake was very delicous as well. I am still eating it. Cliff and Denyse did an excellent job running things and assisting us. I also used some of their preferred vendors, and was very happy. My wedding was everything I hoped it would be plus more. The best part was watching everyone have so much fun!

Imagine being greeted by valet service and a beautiful water fountain at the entrance of a wedding venue. You walk in and are awed by glistening marble floors, vaulted ceilings, and a impeccable grand staircase. This is the first impression one would get when visiting The Merion. On August 15, 2010, I married my best friend at The Merion in Cinnaminson, NJ. Both our ceremony and reception were convened there and our guests raved aboout the ambiance, delicious food, and overall experience. Cathy Schepis was our event planner, and she made sure that our every need was met in regards to preparation- she was always there for my 101 phone calls before the wedding. :) You won't be displeased if you book your wedding here!

We had our wedding at the Merion in Cinnaminson. Everything was wonderful!!!! The staff at the Merion are very professional. When we decided to have our wedding at the Merion we knew it was a little expensive but it turned out to be well worth the cost. The cocktail hour was insane!!! So much food!! The service throughout dinner was exceptional. The bartenders did an awesome job as well. Guests are still talking about how wonderful the wedding was. I do not have one single complaint. I would recommend that future brides take some time to enjoy the day as the food was delicious, but I hardly ate a thing!!

The Merion truly made the wedding of my dreams. The entire staff was professional and polite, and the food was AMAZING. I am still getting rave reviews from my guests how it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I would most definitely recommend the Merion, over and over again!

Just had my wedding there on August 16, 2009.. and it was PERFECT! My coordinator Jen was a complete doll! The place is absolutely stunning and flawless, everything is immaculate! The food is 5 star and then some! No one left hungry from our wedding! Everyone kept saying how beautiful the venue was, and asked if I could have another function there because it was THAT good! Would HIGHLY reccomend having your wedding here! Everything went off with out a hitch, this venue is a real GEM!

People are still talking about my wedding! The Merion is everything you can ask for. Service, Food, Professionalism. Just amazing. Sue Aita was my coordinator and was fantastic. Very flexible and understanding. One bit of advice!... we were the only wedding that night at the Merion. We had the Skylight room which is on the 2nd floor. There were parties below on the first floor including a Communion party. We actually had WEDDING CRASHERS!! Rude people brought their friends and flock of children up to our party to eat from our desserts. When confronted, they laughed and went back stairs. It wasn't until a little later that more of them dared to come back up and take more of our food! When booking with the Merion please make sure you emphasize that you do not want anyone other then the wedding attendees allowed near your party.

The best venue for the best food, best decor and wedding ambience.The staff went beyond our expectations in attending not only guests but also groom and bride.The food was perfect from start to finish.Highly recommended for a wedding. Service and food are superb.

One word...WOW. I don't have the vocabulary to express how blown away everyone was by our experience here. The facility is unspeakably gorgeous, the staff are polished and highly-trained. We had the night of our lives, and would HIGHLY encourage anyone looking for a venue in New Jersey to make an appointment to walk through the Merion.

We had the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception at The Merion. Everything was fantastic and it ran exceptionally smooth. The guests raved about the food and the appearance of the ballroom. We never had any problems communicating with the staff in the months leading up to the wedding. Everyone was professional and worked really hard to make the day special.

We walked into the The Merion and saw the Skylight ballroom and were done. We chose the Merion based on the room and everything else fell into place. Cathy was amazing and the rest of staff made our weekend getaway just an all around amazing experience. We fully recommend this gem in South Jersey and wouldn't want it any other way. Guests were raving about the quality and amount of food from start to finish. The staff at the Merion really took care of not only the guests, but the bride and groom. There was someone there every step of the way from our entrance to the cake cutting. Thank you Merion for making our day such a great success!

The Merion was great to work with, though very pricey it is worth every penny! Our guests are still raving about the entire night. One downside is that there are other events going on at the same time but they really try their hardest to keep everyone separate!! We were on the top floor in the Skylight Ballroom and barely saw anyone that wasn't one of our guests. Sue was great to work with and helped make our day fabulous! Our Maitre D, Scott, was amazing and ensured everything was PERFECT!

My husband and I are very pleased with The Merion. We worked with Sue and she was amazing. She answered our questions promptly and was very flexible. The Merion is just gorgeous, everyone was commenting! The food is delicious and there is SO much of it! We had an amazing wedding reception! I would recommend this reception hall to all my friends!

The Merion is a reception venue your guests will talk about for years. It's unforgettable with outstanding service. The merion would rather cut the cost than cut their outstanding service to maintain their reputation. The cocktail hour is spectacular, we extended it to 1.5 hours which was worth it since you really got to socialize. They also have outstanding white glove service for 4 courses. For the bride and groom they let us have as many dishes as we wanted, I had both the chicken and filet which were both to die for! Their dessert hour is outstanding. Everyone was so excited for it and over indulged :-). I couldn't have dreamed a more beautiful ballroom and reception! The matre D' was so helpful and easy to find. He communicated with the band, photographer, and videographer to make sure everyone knew the timing of the night so I didn't have to worry about anything but having fun! I recommend every bride to check out this venue if your planning a formal affair!The only negatives were minor.Sometimes it took a while to get a response to questions when not within 2 months of your wedding. Also the night of the wedding they served the wrong sauce on the fish, however all the guests loved it and didn't notice.

The Merion was a fantastic place to have both our ceremony and reception. All the details of the day were taken care of, taking a lot of stress away from us. They were very professional and the service is amazing!

I couldn't have asked for anything more! The reception was beautiful, the ballroom was decorated just the way we asked. The food was amazing and service was excellent. Our guests raved about both and said they had never seen anything like it. With everything else you have to worry about that day it was good to know that our family and friends were taken care of. The cake decorator was great to work with and it was included with the price. She designed a cake topper just to fit us! I would definitly reccommend!
