Of many moments you may want to remember, a wedding is one of the most important. A wedding being someone’s dream they have wished for, and when finally comes, seems to last for only a short time, but a time you wished lasted forever. Aaron Siskind once quoted, “Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever…it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” I would only trust Rene from J & R Guarino with such an important event and any event there after.Passion, energy and playfulness exuded from Rene the moment my husband and I met her. Instantly we knew she was the one. She did not let us down. Her work is remarkable. Sitting down looking at our photographs we could not believe the moments she caught between us. During our photo sessions, both engagement and wedding, we never thought she would have gotten the beautiful shots she did. She has an amazing eye.I was very nervous, being nonphotogenic and uncomfortable in the spot light. Rene’s passion and genuine kindness quickly put me at ease. Her energy inspired me to take risks within myself. I even had fun! Right before my wedding, my mother had an accident and knew she was not going to be able to dress me. Without hesitation, Rene offered to dress me. Leading up to and the day of, Rene was a constant source of support. She went well over and far beyond what a role of a photographer would be. She became family. As Annie Leibovitz said about her work, “A thing that you see in my pictures is that I was not afraid to fall in love with these people.” That is exactly what Rene does. The first word that comes to mind when I think of J & R Guarino is "WOW"When I saw my pictures I was so amazed on the way they looked. I couldn't be happier. She captured every moment that was special to me. I even had friends say they wished they used J & R Guarino for their wedding. I would have to secretly admit that mine were nicer. Rene is not only an amazing photographer but a great and fun person. She knows just what to do to make a bride happy. I usually don't write reviews but I just had to get the word out to all brides looking for a great photographer. Rene of J&R Guarino Photography has an amazing creative style. Her work is anything but ordinary. Looking at her wedding albums is like looking in a magazine. She has an artistic eye and can make the most ordinary scenes look extraordinary. I've watched her work at weddings I've performed at and have never seen anyone work harder. Prior to my wedding I dragged my now husband to a bridal show. He's a man that was bored by the experience and just wanted to leave until he rounded a corner and noticed Rene's work. He took it upon himself to go through her sample albums and come back to tell me "We're using her. I don't care what you have in mind but she's it." THEN I SAW HER WORK. No words can describe how amazing and talented she is. From the first phone call, to our meetings with her, to our wedding day, she makes you feel like a part of her family. Working with her has been THE BEST part of our wedding planning process. Then the photos came. Between the engagement session and the wedding itself we were in awe-along with everyone else we know. Some people have a talented eye, but Rene brings your story and your photos to life. It's funny because our friend wished us a happily ever after marriage and the way our photos were taken it really feels like our wedding came out of a storybook! =)

Rene was amazing!! She has such great talent and really makes every wedding an amazing event. She takes such beautiful and different photographs, all of my friends who've seen our pictures were blown away at how wonderful they came out. I even had a friend who got married before we did say that she wishes her pictures came out like ours. Rene was able to capture every special moment and you can tell she really enjoys what she does. At the same time, she is so personable and made herself so accessible to me throughtout the whole process. I can't wait to have another special event where I get to use Rene's services again. Phenomenal! By far the BEST investment you could make for your wedding. I am THRILLED with our pictures and know they turned out so fabulous due to Rene's hard work. All I have to say is... DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER! My husband and I went to a local bridal show with no intentions on finding the right people to do our wedding photography. We walked by this table and were handed a cd and they simply said just check us out. Of course we just threw it in the pile with all the other brochures. As soon as we got home we put the cd into our computer and i was simply speechless! i knew right then and there no matter what i had to have them do my wedding. When we met with Rene she was absolutely AMAZING! She made me feel immediately like i was top priorty and all of my wedding jitters went out the window. Her work is extremely unique and breathtaking! The day of my wedding she made me feel like i was a supermodel and i honestly could not be happier with the results! She not only became my photographer but now she truly is one of my friends. So again just trust this recommendation because you won't be sorry!

Rene was spectacular. The pictures were beautiful! She captured every special moment and detail for us to remember. She was always accessible to answer any questions or concerns my husband and I had. I would recommend her to my closest family and friends and will continue to use J & R Guarino photography for all of our events to capture our special moments. I receive compliments from everyone on how wonderful our pictures are, all asking "who was your photographer?"

Of all the vendors that you have to choose for a wedding to me the photographer and videographer were the most important. J&R Guarino was by far the best company we met with and I couldn't be more happy of our choice to use them for our wedding. From the very beginning Rene was so helpful and just so made us so excited for our wedding. The first photo I saw in her studio was of a bride and it was so beautiful I wanted to buy it and hang it in my house like a piece of artwork you buy rather then a photo from a wedding. From that moment I knew we had to have her as our photographer and I was never disappointed. She showed me everything she could do with our photos from the amazing albums to our picture on a purse! We did our engagement session with her and my husband and I felt like models and had so much fun. On our wedding day, Rene kept me calm and made the chaotic morning so relaxing and let me focus on just enjoying every moment. We did the greatest poses and she was so wonderful with our entire bridal party it felt like a friend taking photos it was a fantastic feeling. When we saw the photos we were so ecstatic to see that not only were the photos of us beyond gorgeous but that she had captured every moment of our day from the toasting flutes and the cake to photos of couples at the wedding.She captured all the details of the day that I would not want to forget like the beautiful table settings and the placecards that I had worked so hard to make. The photos of us as husband and wife were so captivating we felt like we looked as if we belonged in an ad in a magazine. Rene and her husband Joe were so wonderful we feel as if they are now friends of ours and can't imagine this experience without them because they truly made it so special for us. Rene always made me feel like I was her only bride and gave us advice along the way and I can't imagine why any bride would go with anyone else. The quality of her work along should be enough but the fact that she was so helpful, and so kind made her an ally to me through the wedding planning process and I never had to worry about the stresses of photography or video like I did with some of my other vendors. I highly recommend J&R Guarino for photography and videography because the results will not only be breathe taking but the entire process will be something you do not have to worry about and any one planning a wedding knows there is so much to worry and stress over so one less thing is great! Their professionalism and dedication to what they do truly makes them the BEST photography and video company there is!

Rene was as awesome as they get. She was there the whole day with us getting amazing pictures! Not only were the pics awesome but she is awesome. The work she does is like no other. When I was searching for a photographer for my weddig she was always the one I would be comparing others to. She became part of the family and was so funny and easy to get along with, everyone just loved her and Steve too! I would recommend Rene above anyone else, she is awesome!

Even before the wedding was over, I was receiving compliments from my guests on the professionalism of Rene and Steve. We were all blown away by the guest book and everyone really enjoyed looking through it and signing it. Together, Rene and Steve were able to capture the emmotion and excitement of the day. Rene's creativity is unparalleled. I found J&R Guarino Photography & Video at a bridal show and Rene was the only photographer who was responsive to my phone call. She booked me right away and showed a true interest in helping to make my wedding a very special event.

We interviewed a number of photographers before J&R Guarino, but after spending about 5 minutes with Rene (and Gigi) we knew she was the one for us. Her warmth and charisma is captivating but her talent, creativity, enthusiasm, dedication and professionalism are beyond compare. On our wedding day Rene and Steve were absolutely wonderful!!! They were kind, respectful, professional, never obtrusive and made our day comfortable and fun which is important not only because you are spending about 10 hours on one of the most important days of your life with someone, but it shines through in every picture. They must meet at least 100 brides a year, but on our wedding day they made us feel like we were the most beautiful and special couple they ever met.The pictures were available to view online after about 3 weeks and the proof books are beautiful. Some photographers give you 4x6 proofs or disks with full permission to print, recopy or distribute as you wish which is definitely an advantage and may add to the $$ value of the packages they offer. But a disk full of 1000 fake smiles and posed pictures has very little value to me and cannot compare to the 1084 pictures Rene and Steve took which are all full of genuine smiles on the faces of our bridal party, family and friends and beautifully depict their talented creative journalistic style. "We don't remember days we remember moments..." and while you will never forget your wedding day, Rene and Steve's ability to capture every single heartfelt moment of our special day AND the emotion behind it is truly a gift that allows us to relive those moments every time we look at our wedding pictures. Rene and Steve, you are the best and we can't thank you enough. We love you guys!

Choosing J & R Guarino Photography for my wedding was the best decision I made. Rene made me feel like the most beautiful and important person in the world. I was blown away by her professionalism and ability to capture each and every moment with her lens. She will go above and beyond for all of her brides and will do everything to make your day perfect. When the wedding is over, the only thing you will have left is the pictures. Her pictures are breathtakingly beautiful. Rene is the most artistic and creative person I have ever met; your album will be beautiful.

J&R Guarino is owned by a passionate photographer named Rene. She is a fantastic photographer with an original artistic approach. She was the 1st and only photographer we interviewed and my husband and I loved her. I admired her work from the moment I met her and our personalities meshed very well which exudes in the photos. We began our journey with Rene in Allaire State Park for a beautiful day of posing for our sign in book. The photos from Allaire, were turned into a very clever display for your guest to sign in at your wedding and a great conversational piece. Rene did a great job and really pops the colors of nature in our photos. We had a great day. She even drove us there with her adorable poodle. The day of the wedding was very exciting and she kept us busy in many unique poses and backgrounds. The most unique photo would be putting me on the cover of bridal magazine in my album. She is very accomodating to you or your guests and requests gladly accepeted. Steve her assistant was great to work with also. My proof book and online pictures were wonderful. Many photographers make you wait months to see the finished product. When she is done working her magic on your photos they will be up on pictage and facebook to see. She will leave your guests with a picture of you from your engagment session with the website to review your wedding day photos as soon as they are available. My husband Jeff and I cannot say how much we adore Rene and her husband Joe that did our videography. They have treated us like one of the family and as if we have known her for years. I highly recommend her work and artistic integrity. Rene shows such effervesces and enthusiasm as if she is shooting her own daughter's wedding. She has great studio in her home with so many examples and ideas to make your dream wedding come true. Great photographer, beautiful work, highly recommended!

J&R Guarino Photography are amazing! We had such a good time taking our wedding photos with Rene and her team and our bridal party never stopped laughing. Now with over 1000 pictures, my husband and I are struggling to choose photos for our album because we love them all and each photo is so unique!

When I got engaged over a year and half ago everybody was telling me horror stories about their photographer and video. People were telling me about equipment breaking, they didn't have enough time with the photographer, their pictures never came in...etc. So in my brain I was thinking that picking a photographer was going to be harder then picking my groom. But I was wrong, once I met Rene. I had none of those complaints that I mentioned earlier. I loved my photographer and video. From the second my mother and I walked into her house\office we felt like we were family. We did not feel like clients but that we knew her our entire lives. When my husband and I chose Rene we knew we were making the right decision. When it was time to take our engagement photos we felt like we were famous. Joe, Rene and Ggi (there adorable dog) went in their car and went to ALlaire State park. She did not just take the average 20 photos for an engagement session she took 400. We really got comfortable with her that day so at the wedding there was no akward part. We also had our choice of the normal sign in picture or (what we choose) was a book containing like 85 pictures that people could sign. Wow, I was excited with all that and then it was time for our wedding.My wedding was in the afternoon so Rene and Steve came to my house at 9 am and was mine till my wedding stopped at 8pm. She did everything I wanted including taking as to the beach for photos even though our wedding was not at the beach. Rene got shots that you would not dream of, she once told me that she would hang upside down if it meant getting an awesome picture and she was not kidding. My wedding day was awesome and you can see that in every picture and video shot they took. Not only is Rene the best photographer ever, she is a friend of mine now that I hopefully will have for life!! Rene, Steve and Joe will make your wedding even more imaginable then you could hope for. And her gift keeps on giving because you can see her work everyday on your self or wall. I love Rene and my decision to choose her as my photographer.
