My husband and I wanted a wedding reception where everyone had a great time and danced but at the same time reflective of our personalities and music tastes. We spent a lot of time thinking about the music playlist but even MORE time interviewing DJ companies that understood our vision and wanted to follow OUR expectations and not deliver predetermined schtick. We weren't about to settle for anything but the best and we found it with Frederick Hart Entertainment. I can honestly say that EVERY person at my wedding raved about the music and said it was the most fun wedding that they had ever been to. I don't know where to begin... Frederick Hart Entertainment is in a class all by himself. From my first phone call to him over a year ago until the end of the reception, he was always available to answer questions and calm a nervous bride-to-be and absolutely committed to every detail that I had in mind for my dream wedding reception. He delivered the highest level of expertise, professionalism, and direction to ensure that my day was classy and fun, and unique. Many of my guests asked "where did you find this great dj?". Glenn and I searched high and low for an entertainer who wanted to do what WE wanted and DJ Fred went way beyond and surpassed our already high expectations. It was between a company that offered a ballroom uplighting package, dance floor monogram, and 2 DJs for the same price as just DJ Fred and I'm glad we weren't fooled by the 'fluff' when it's the DJ that is most important. DJ Frederick Hart is a true professional who is extremely knowledgable in every aspect of music entertainment and wedding reception direction. He truly loves what he does and it shows. I saw several entertainers at a bridal show at the Marriott but he stood out as being the most refined and had the best voice and wasn't corny (no group line dances and props / costumes). He impressed me on the spot and I knew that I had to have him for my wedding! Throughout the planning process, he handled everything with efficiency and personalized customization that was far beyond what I had expected. His performance on the actual wedding day was first class elegant and exactly how I wanted to impress my guests. Every song that he played was a perfect reflection of my and my husband's musical tastes (which are not at all similar) and kept everyone dancing until the last song of the night. Frederick Hart Entertainment truly lives by the motto of his business - "excellence in elegance". His work and demeanor were outstanding: very professional. He was patient, understanding and flexible working with a very precise and detail oriented bride and kept me on-track through the planning process. The reception itself was flawless. DJ Fred confidently managed every detail from beginning to end with a easy and time conscious flow incorporating all of the special songs and announcements that we talked about and he did so with a seamless, relaxed and natural delivery. The music selections were absolutely perfect and everyone danced the night away (and it was SUNDAY!). Many of my guests told me that it was the best reception that they've attended. DJ Fred deserves the thanks for that. And an extra bonus was the photos! He took some great shots of the evening and shared them with us. I highly recommend FHE and DJ Fred. His work ethic and final product are without peer.

We searched everywhere to find the perfect dj and after 3 bridal shows and at least 6 dj meeetings with no luck, headed to you tube and searched "elegant Philadelphia disc jockey". That's where we found Frederick Hart Entertainment and our "eureka moment". He answered the phone on the first ring (rather than have us leave a vm and wait for a few days to get back to us) and asked me questions about how I wanted my reception to go. He asked about my music tastes and the playlist I had in mind - ALSO the DON'T PLAYLIST which for me was very important since I didn't want a wedding reception just like all the ones I went to over the years.` I could tell that he wanted to learn about me so he could know how to customize the reception instead of showing up to do a canned routine. We weren't about having a larger than life reception with a huge bridal party and 300 guests. His approach was the perfect fit for my small and intimate affair with 90 close friends and family. DJ Fred was elegant and classy and gave me the special attention to my vision that the other companies we interviewed couldn't. He was more than worth his fee (about double the price) and was way more professional (about quadruple the talent).

I can sum up my entire experience with Frederick Hart Entertainment in one word: PERFECT. He was without question my saving grace on my wedding day. I had difficulty with a late limo, a priest with an irritated attitude, a substitute photographer AND videographer, guest drama, family drama, bridal party drama BUT DJ Fred was the glue that held me together on such an emotional day - he was an anchoring rock of stability in the midst of so much agita. He was there to greet me when I got to Lucien's and saw that I was under stress, and was able to calm me with his relaxed demeanor and confidence under pressure. I found out later that he spoke to the bridal party and told them to put aside their issues for the next four hours so I would get to enjoy my wedding reception. He is the "DR. PHIL" of DJs. Once he got them lined up for the grand entrance, it was like a new bridal party. His announcements were polished and precise and the music he chose was the perfect accent to the mood that I envisioned for my reception. He packed the dance floor and kept the party going without taking over the spotlight and hamming it up. I give DJ Fred an A+ for making the reception exactly what I wanted and my heartfelt thanks for saving me from imploding on my wedding day.

We hired DJ Fred for our wedding on May 30, 2010. I first met DJ Fred at a bridal show in Dover over 1 year ago, and after seeing him perform and meeting him I knew that he would be perfect for our wedding! We wanted to have a great party and for all our guests to have a wonderful time dancing, but we also wanted it to be elegant and tasteful. I didn't want my grandparents and older family members to be offended/shocked by the DJ or music. DJ Fred really made this vision come to life! From the moment the music started playing, the dance floor was packed! Everyone was dancing, even our grandparents and the minister! The music selection appealed to everyone, and he kept the flow of the whole event going nicely. He provided the music and sound system for our outdoor ceremony as well. Everyone complimented us on much fun the wedding was and where we found such a great DJ! We would definitely recommend him to any other brides and grooms to be! DJ Fred was so much more than just a DJ- he really kept the whole event going as well. His price was very reasonable, he even offered us a Sunday and military discount! I hired DJ Frederick Hart after seeing him DJ the wedding of one of my BMs last year. He was awesome because he didn't do any of the annoying and corny things that we have seen before that you EXPECT at a wedding (using toys / props, playing line dances, taking over the party, screaming on the microphone all of the time, and forcing the guests to scream back). At first my only concern was his price - he was almost double the price of the companies that my facility recommended. In the end, he was a bargain. He was very professional, perfectly attired, first class elegant, and attentive to my expectations. We gave him total control over the music playlist and he just took over and used his skill and experience and got everyone dancing....I mean EVERYONE! I was on the dance floor dancing like mad with my parents, my grandparents, my cousins, my friends, and my little nieces - ALL AT THE SAME TIME! His song selections were a perfect blend to reach through to all ages. The music can make or break a wedding reception and I can confidently say that DJ Frederick made the party. The "LOVE STORY" was a great idea to share our history to all of our guests. It was the most unique part of our reception that no one else had ever seen or heard before. DJ Fred was recommended by our facility, photographer, and videographer and lived up to all of the hype. He was early to set up, dressed to the nines (the black and white wing tips added a touch of class), and ready to do his thing. Since he's the expert, I let him pick all of the music and he kept everyone dancing and happy. Many of my guests raved about his playlist and how he never tried to force them onto the dance floor. He was cool, confident, and classy - the perfect fit for the atmosphere I wanted to create. $$$$ but WELL worth it since I only had one chance to get it right.

My wife and I couldn't have picked a better DJ!!!!! Fred was great. He's excellent on the microphone, plays the best music, and was extremely entertaining. When hiring Fred, you can rest assure that you made a very wise decision. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ all the way!!!!

From my first phone call with DJ Fred, I knew that I would hire him. He spoke so eloquently and passionately about doing the wedding reception according to MY expectations and desires rather than telling me how he was going to 'rock the house'. The video clips of him on youtube really aren't 'of him' - they are of the PARTY...he doesn't make a spectacle of himself and hog the attention like DJs do which is something that had us looking into bands at first (too costly). He came to meet with us (in our home rather than having us come to another of his weddings like other companies suggested) and showed us video samples and answered all of our questions for a few hours. A week before the wedding, we spent an hour on the phone with him going through the details from the ceremony prelude music to the last song of the night. He was able to provide TWO microphones for the ceremony (one for the readers and a lapel mike for Tom) so that everyone could hear at the outdoor ceremony. Under his experienced advice and guidance, we scheduled everything to flow smoothly and maximize the dancing part of the party. He was able to provide sound to four diffrent rooms using wireless speakers so even guests who weren't in the 'dancing room' (Riverside Conservatory) could still hear what was happening on the dance floor. DJ Fred was critical to our wedding day being such a success - he even took the phone to give directions to some relatives from Boston who got lost on the way to Glen Foerd. He is the one vendor that I was completely confident in hiring. A+++!

My husband and I hired DJ Fred for our wedding on May 8th, 2010. We interviewed several others, but felt they were priced too high for what they offered ($900-$1200 for a guy who sounds like a boxing announcer or is waaaayyy too serious about getting people on the dance floor). Fred was the perfect mix of what we were looking for. VERY professional, both in personal manner and dress, excellent manners during the ceremony and reception, wonderful speaking voice. We really liked him right away. He was able to show pictures and video of his performances so that we could see him in action, which was nice. We had our wedding at Glen Foerd, and we was aptly equipped to bring music to all the rooms of the house, which had to be done wirelessly. He was not lugging around laptops or "portable" speakers. He was not pushy about what we should play, or how we wanted the wedding to be (again, perhaps not all brides want the entire wedding to be a dance party!) DJ Fred was really very wonderful, an excellent addition to our wedding. We gave him free reign with all the songs and he made excellent choices for the entire evening, from isle walk to end of the night songs. He is a consumate professional and I would sing his praises to anyone who might listen! We paid only slightly above our budget for 5 hours and that was a bargin! I can't imagine what the $900 DJ with the speakers on wheels would have sounded like.P.S.- as a bonus for us, he shot video of the wedding! (we did not have a videographer) It was such a nice suprise, since I was so focused on the groom to be, I never heard the minister, or noticed anyone else around me!

Fred was outstanding. He did not try to take over the wedding. He read the crowd well and kept the right music going to help us and our guests have the most fun...the dance floor was full all night! His first point, up front, is that the wedding is about the bride and groom, not him and he holds true to his word. He is very easy to work with, is priced very well with the competition, and most importantly made it a great wedding for us. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone.

After getting lots of DJ advice from my married friends and not finding the right one, I asked OTHER wedding experts and my photographer AND videographer both said that DJ Fred Hart was the best in the business for an elegant wedding reception. His online reviews were stellar and after meeting with him we saw why...he had 30 DVDs of different weddings and thousands of photos. He even showed us pictures of OTHER djs for comparison. We were hooked from the start with his demeanor, diction, and obvious dediciation to MY vision for the reception. It certainly helped that he was a wedding expert who only does weddings.With his guidance and direction, the wedding reception was exactly what I was expecting (and THEN SOME!) He played every single song from my rather large play list in a way that heightened the impact and kept my guests dancing and having a great time without ingratiating himself to the spotlight and resorting to silly games or stereotypical DJ antics to keep them enthused. I guess the best endorsement is that when he said 'goodnight' at 12 there were just as many guest there as at the beginning! Frederick Hart Entertainment (DJ Fred) was an investment well worth his fee. After seeing so many DJs at so many bridal shows and weddings we were convinced that his approach (classy and not 'dj-centric') was exactly what we were looking for. When he came to meet us (at OUR house, even) he explained in great detail the nuances of creating an atmosphere of enthusiastic dancing by using a great dance set of infectious fun music rather than 'working the crowd' on the microphone and making himself the center of attention like so many 'Mr. Microphone' djs that we saw before. His goal was to make US the special stars of the show. The reception was beyond perfect...so many guests commented that my wedding was the best and most fun that they had ever been to. DJ Fred is the one to thank for that. He even played all of the Greek music we requested and even learned the words to welcome us and distant family in both languages. Having DJ Fred as our DJ and Emcee was the best decision that we made for our wedding. He not only surpassed our expectations but he also managed to maintain sanity in what could have been a wreck of a day. He was attentive, professional, a music expert, and provided us an elegant yet very fun musical ambience for our day. He also practiced and pronounced all the bridal party's names correctly (our names get butchered all the time) and greeted our guests in the 3 languages that we and our guests speak. His accomodation to our situation was particularly notable. We live in Germany and he really worked around the distance and time difference which proved troublesome for some other services providers that we had considered working with.My comments alone can’t provide you a full impression of the quality of DJ Fred’s service. Many guests (old and young) came up to us at various points of the wedding and afterwards to tell us comments such as, “DJ Fred really guided the day without stealing the spotlight like so many other DJ’s do,” and “Where did you find your DJ? He’s great!”. As a young couple, we were originally planning to rent some speakers and have our music be directed by an IPod, but DJ Fred convinced us otherwise (Thank God!). He not only provided a variety of music to accommodate the shifting moods, emotions of the day, and our internationality, but his emceeing also directed people so they didn’t feel like herded cattle guided by our wedding coordinator and servers.He arrived over an hour early and all of his equipment was set up and all sound checks were finished before we were even ready! He even worked with our catering staff and wedding coordinator to adjust music to sudden changes in the day's schedule. I know that with his services at our wedding, stress was avoided and we had a PERFECT and WONDERFUL wedding day. =D You will not regret having DJ Fred at your wedding.

My husband and I wanted a DJ who would play music from OUR playlist (we have eclectic tastes) and not blast our guests with non-stop Top 40, Rap, and Hip Hop. DJ Fred worked very closely with us on this detail and spent a great deal of time studying our song list and familiarizing himself with the songs. He also added many songs that perfectly complemented our list of 60s, 70's, 80's, and indie rock selections.He was able to recommend great songs for the bridal party grand entrance, kept the speeches moving and on time, completed the special dances with the utmost concern of maximizing the guests' dancing time, and stayed unobtrusive the entire time. LOVED HIM and highly recommend him to all NJ and NY brides!As an added bonus, he took many great photos of the packed dance floor from his unique vantage point on the stage which he emailed THAT NIGHT! DJ Fred came in at the last minute for us, replacing a dj who wasn't capable of handling our venue, and did a great job.

After meeting DJ Fred, we were impressed but Adam and I still met with a few other companies to try and stay within our budget. Although they were all in the ballpark pricewise, no one else had his experience, confidence, or presentation. He asked what I wanted and demonstrated how to customize a wedding to fit my vision and NOT give us a 'cookie cutter' reception. DJ Fred proved himself a complete professional by taking charge of the entertainment and leading us through the grand entrance and all of the special dances and events. We had each couple come in to a different song and he timed it perfectly (and pronounced them perfectly as well). He was able to take our simple request - "Make our reception fun and elegant" - and deliver far beyond what we expected. His unique idea for giving away the flowers was a great hit. Even though my feet were killing me, I couldn't step off the dancefloor for a minute because it was so much fun dancing with all of my friends and relatives. Every song was better than the one before it! Our wedding day would not have been as fun and successful with any other DJ. I couldn't give DJ Fred a more ringing endorsement.

From start to finish, our reception was exactly what I envisioned. DJ Fred listened to every detail of my dream wedding reception and delivered it with sophistication and style. Every song from my playlist was played with many other great songs mixed in from his incredible skill reading the crowd. I have never seen such a packed dance floor! He even shot and posted some great video highlights which was great for some grandparents too ill to attend and many relatives from England who couldn't make the trip.
