Details of I do

First off, I would like to say that I am a super laid back bride. I had an almost perfect wedding except for the flowers. If you check my other reviews, they are all 5 stars because I am not a demanding bridezilla. The reason I went with Details of I do was because of all the great reviews and my first consultation with Kristen was quick and she seemed to know exactly what I was looking for. When I saw the centerpieces at the floral trial, I was so happy. I was in and out in about 10 minutes because it looked exactly as how I wanted. They pulled a switch on me! The reason I did give one star is because I did get flowers for the wedding, and she was on time. When I saw my bouquets in the bridal suite, I was so shocked. She used the wrong color, burgundy instead of purple. When I talked to her about it, she was unapologetic and said, "that's how flowers are, I order purple and this is what I got". Then I asked her about how come there are no anemone? It was my main flower, and she said she couldn't get them because they are not in season. When I spoke to her our initial consultation, she said she can get anemone, but even if she couldn't, she should have called to let me know and asked if it was ok to replace with something else. She replaced anemone with purple carnations! I paid over $3,000 to get carnations?! And she used burgundy mums! I'm Chinese, I told her at our first consultation that mums are used in funerals in my culture. I didn't even cry during my wedding vows, but the flowers were so disastrous that seeing them made me cry. I didn't mind paying more for flowers using Details of I do because I wanted the wow factor. All I got was complete shock and disappointment on an otherwise perfect wedding. The groom's boutonniere was smaller than the groomsmen's, and I asked Kristen if she had backed up flowers, she said no. The groom's boutonniere was comprised of one tiny calla lily and a mum flower bud! My bridal attendant took charge and used the ring bearer's boutonniere and added to the groom's boutonniere bc that's how bad it looked, even in her eyes. The corsages were so poorly assembled that when my aunt helped my grandma take off her's, the pin jabbed her and she bled. The corsages were pinned onto a bead bracelet with regular pins with the ends exposed. You would think it ends here, but no. During the flower trial, she used round bowls for some of the center pieces, but she even switched the bowls on me! I can understand if you can't get the colors right, but you can't even order round bowls?! I wanted different vases and that was stressed during our meeting. I really don't know what happened because I was prompt on payment and was never annoying or demanding. I uploaded pictures onto my profile photo album from the floral trial vs. the wedding day flowers to show the complete switch pulled on me. Carnations are cheap! If I wanted carnations and mums for my wedding, I could have went to a local florist and pay half the price. Her service was really unacceptable. She just didn't care I was upset because I had already fully paid and whatever she switched on me was not her fault and it was stated in the contract, "subject to availability". I paid for anemone and lisianthus, but got cheap mums and carnations instead! I also requested hydrangea, but even that wasn't used. Don't tell me she couldn't get that, bc I walked down the aisle and there were two huge bush of hydrangea in full bloom. Also, a family friend told me her table didn't even have real flowers, fake flowers were used!!

Kristin is one of the most creative individuals that I have ever met. I provided her with only a color scheme and she created the most amazingly beautiful arrangements. My bouquet was just more than I could ever have imaged. Perfect in every way. The centerpieces caused a riot as everyone wanted to take them home. Would recommend withour reservation.

Kristin at Details of I do was a pleasure to work with. She was a little hard to get an answer from early on in the process, but as our wedding date got closer she was great and despite being 8 months pregnant on our wedding day she made sure the entire thing went off without the slightest hitch. Her assistant was also wonderful and very talented. I would recommend Details of I Do for any couple. Also, her flowers were lovely and matched the entire theme of the wedding. It should also be mentioned that me and my wife don't live in the Princeton area and worked with here via email and phone mostly and she was very capable of handling details without too much interaction. She is very knowledgeable of area vendors and helped us find our band and photo/video vendor, both of which we were extremely happy with.

Working with Kristin from Details of I Do was an amazing experience! I never thought planning my wedding could be so stress free & fun! She was there to answer questions via email whenever I had them. Kristin took my vision and turned into a wedding that my friends and family still say was the best wedding they ever went to. It was so nice to be a bride for my wedding and not have to worry about a thing! Having Kristin & her team made my day relaxing, stress free, & perfect! I recommend that EVERYONE consider hiring a wedding planner...it will make your wedding what you always hoped it would be!

Kristin and Details of I do were utterly creative, professional, and reliable. I would never do a wedding any other way.

I am sorry that this review took me a year and a half to write....but I am glad I am finally getting around to writing it!My husband and I are so glad we hired Kristin. She really handled everything from flowers and invitations to planning and running the day. I left almost the whole design process up to Kristin - I just supplied the colors - and she came up with the most fabulous designs. She is also very reasonably priced - especially for the level of services she offers. I showed Kristin a centerpiece that I liked....I knew it was out of my budget and was hoping that Kristin would be able to downsize it so we could afford it. What she came up was AWESOME and looked exactly how I dreamed it would (and did not looked downsized!)It was great to not have to worry about anything on my wedding day. I am sure there were a few things that went wrong but I didn't have to find out about anything b/c Kristin and her crew took care of EVERYTHING!I would definitely recommend the Details of I Do team

I cannot say enough good things about the services we received from Details of I do. From start to finish they were wonderfully professional and helpful. We still think about how perfect our day was and how we would not have changed a single thing! Every time people see my pictures they talk about how beautiful everything looked. It was truly my dream wedding thanks to Kristin and her team!

The services from Details by I do was incredible. Kristen transformed the ballroom into a beautiful garden. The tables and the flowers were beyond my wildest expectations. I was amazed and totally thrilled. Everything about working with Details by I Do was relaxing and professional. What was amazing was that I was trying to plan my daughter's wedding in New Jersey while she lives in California. My daughter had very definite ideas about flowers and all the small details. Details of I do was amazingly supportive to every need. The staff was professional and very attentive. Kristen, particularly, was on point with my style and came up with great ideas to enhance my ideas of my dream wedding. My wedding was everything and more. I would recommend Details of I Do to anyone.
