Classic Cake Company

Classic Cake Company was the cake company that came with my package at the Crowne Plaza. When we went in to have our cake tasting, they really treated us great. We had so many different options to choose from and we had so much fun picking out our flavors! The best part was when my husband asked them if they could do something special for our cake and they made it happen no problem!!! At the wedding reception - I had so many people come to me and tell me that my cake was amazing. Not only the way the cake looked BUT the taste as well. Classic Cake company really came through! Thanks!!

The cake was lovely. Well the one I ordered myself. The one that came with my package at the location was ok. I thought the design would be cleaner than it was. Other than that I was very happy with both my cakes. More with the one that I paid separate of my Venue to have made. Both tasted amazing.

My wedding took place on October 22, 2011 at The Mansion in Voorhees, NJ. The Mansion offered to pay for the cake up to a certain amount and I had to pay for any upgrades, which was fine with me. I spent $600 in upgrades so that I could serve to my guests a delicious red velvet cake!WELL, delicious was certainly not the word I'd ever use to describe the cake I ACTUALLY got on my wedding day. I sampled Classic Cake's red velvet cupcake on the day of my cake tasting and it was absolutely delicious! I loved it so much, I decided it was worth the extra expense to serve it to my guests. However, on the day of my wedding, upon first taste, I realized the cake was nothing like the cake I had sampled at my tasting. I tasted it a few more times to make sure it just didn't taste funny for some other reason and I still felt it was gross and not red velvet cake. It was indeed red, but it appeared that whoever baked this cake forgot the "velvet." lol It tasted like plain, flavorless cake with some form of cream cheese frosting. I was so embarrassed!! My family is a bunch of red velvet cake lovers and when I told them how disappointed I was with the flavor of the cake after the reception, they all agreed and told me they didn't want to tell me how bad the cake tasted because they didn't want me to be upset. I had noticed that there was a ton of cake left over..... So embarrassing. And disappointing considering I paid sooooo much to have that special flavor.My biggest disappointment of my entire wedding was this cake. I had indeed done a cake tasting and also interviewed several other bakeries. I chose Classic Cake because I was impressed with their cake flavor, design skills, and excellent customer service. I trusted that they would deliver on their end, as they seemed to have a great reputation and I worked directly with the manager on my whole order. She was such an awesome person and she went above and beyond to assist me with my custom design.For service, I have to give 5 stars. My experience was an amazing one up until I tasted my cake. Staff was friendly, responsive, and extremely accommodating and I felt that my cake tasting experience was indeed an experience. It wasn't just placing an order. It truly was a nice event and the manager was such a sweet, friendly, and helpful person.For design, I also have to give 5 stars. My cake LOOKED beautiful! It was exactly the custom design I had asked for, and they made it happen. I was extremely pleased.For quality and value, I had to give next-to-nothing in stars. The quality of the taste of the cake was truly horrendous and I will not be eating my top layer, though I have saved it anyway out of sentiment. I just feel that as far as value goes, that cake was not worth $600 in upgrades since the flavor was not at all what I had tasted at my cake tasting. Had I known the flavor would have been so different, I would not have wasted so much money on a cake. I would have added that $600 to something else for my wedding that could have been more valuable to the overall experience.Overall, I can't recommend Classic Cake to brides based on this experience because I can't honestly say that what you order will be what you get on your wedding day, and you can't taste it in advance or return it if you end up getting a cake that tasted like mine.So disappointed....

Our Wedding cake from Classic Cake Co. was awesome! The final cake exceeded our expectations in every way - it was beautiful and turned out exactly as we had requested. The cake itself tasted great and all of our Guests loved the cake (overall design & taste) as well!Our cake was provided as part of our Wedding package as offered through Sea Oaks Country Club in NJ. We went up to Classic Cake Co. in Cherry Hill NJ and we did the cake taste testing (which was great). The Staff there was very accommodating and very helpful as well. They asked us how we wanted the cake designed (colors, accessory selections, etc) along with asking how many guests there would be, what they recommended as far as how many tiers to the cake and they just did everything we asked with regards to the final design.They have the best selections of cake fillings, types of icing, types of scroll work (design) and many example pictures to look at from other previous Weddings and/or special events. They will design your cake from scratch and are very helpful.We would definitely recommend Classic Cake Co. to anyone who's searching for a Wedding Cake.We can't wait to eat that top layer!!Thanks Classic Cake!

Our cake for our wedding was absolutely amazing! They made it exactly how we wanted it, and it tasted so good!

The staff at Classic Cake Company made my cake exactly how I hoped they would! It was so beautiful and tasted absolutely amazing! They really went above and beyond to make it just perfect. The staff at the location in Washington Township were extremely friendly and helpful!

Our wedding cake was beyond delicious! In fact you can see it on my face in pictures at the cake cutting!They were very flexible as I provided them with a picture which they were able to duplicate pretty close.We could choose four different flavors - for each layer as well as four different fillings to coordinate. This allowed for alot of variety and for my fiance and I each to get what we wanted!!!

Our cake was delicious. Our guests all raved about it. The cake tasting was one of my favorite parts of wedding planning. The staff was so nice and accommodating. Our cake turned out beautifully and they even put our monogram on the top tier which I thought was a great touch.

Classic Cake provided our wedding cake and it did taste wonderful. I provided a picture and gave some more specific modifications and it came out looking very similar to what I had asked for but with one pretty big difference in the icing. I had requested it be done in all white fondant as there was some patterns in white to go on the different layers and I wanted that design to stand out cleanly on the fondant. I specifically told the person at the store that I met with that I didn't like the look of the smoothed buttercream icing. Unfortunately despite the specifications I saw pretty quickly at the reception that the cake was done in smoothed buttercream icing. I'm sure most people didn't even notice but I felt that given the price and the special occassion that the cake looked a little messy and more homemade with the different type of icing.

We were very happy with their services and we loved our wedding cake. I would recommend them to a friend. The cake was beautiful and delicious.

My wedding cake was fabulous!!!! Everyone raved about the cake. Each layer was a different type of cake. Guests were so pleased to tasete them all! The staff was accomodating and the cake tasting was fun and informative.

Their cake is amazing! I gave them a picture of what I wanted, and they did exactly what I asked! It not only looked great, but tasted so good and everyone raved about it!

I think Classic Cake is expensive. That said, our guests were very happy with the cake and we thought it was delicious. The size recommended seemed appropriate and the tasting helped us to decide what combinations of cake and icing we wanted. The cake was delivered early and looked very near what we ordered. I don't know if a similar quality is available at a similar cost. We were happy with the cake and serivce overall.

We do not recommend Classic Cake for anyone's wedding. They delivered the cake on time with right decoration on it. But one thing we didn't know until cake cutting: The inside was totally not what we have ordered, it was something completely different to what we had at the tasting. They even charge for double layers but there was no double layers. The cake they delivered was totally not worth the price they have asked. And we were very disappointed and embarassed to our guests because we have told them we were going to serve them one thing and then only have some regular cake that could have been from regular supermarket such as Walmart or Giant... And when we call in to complaint they were not responsive to us, they keep promise to get back to us but they never did. We had to call in again to follwo up and to ask for refund and they would not give the refund that we requested. The staff at the store admit that the cake was not what we had at the tasting but they said they can't refund because they are not the manager. Meanwhile, the owner did not admit that they made a mistake...

Classic Cake provided a wedding cake and grooms cake for my daughter's wedding. I have a couple of comments. The wedding cake did not look like the cake in the sample book. It tasted good, but the seashell decorations were significantly smaller than those pictured. For $650 it should have looked more like the cake that was approved. I ordered a grooms cake for $350 and provided pictures of what we wanted it to look like, the bride and groom sitting on a cake with an octopus looming overhead (to fit in with the aquarium theme of the wedding). The figures of the bride and groom were $75 each, and looked great, although the bride was supposed to be holding a bouquet, which was missing. The octopus, which was supposed to be very detailed, was just rolled frosting with holes poked into the rolls to simulate tentacles> Not at all like the pictures we provided to them. Also, I feel like they oversold the amount of cake we needed, telling us we should order an extra sheet cake for the number of guests (230). We had so much cake left over that we had to throw alot of it away. I was not impressed with Classic Cake. They paid lip service to us in the meetings leading up to the wedding, but in the end we paid for something that was not what we ordered. I cannot recommend them and feel we would have done better elsewhere.

Our wedding cake was delicious, and that's really all that mattered in the end. I just need to note, however, that we chose a seashell wedding cake from their own book of samples and what we saw on our wedding day did not look AT ALL like the picture that had been approved. The seashells were about half the size that they were shown in the pictures... and the wedding cake itself was not anything impressive. We had a groom's cake that made up for it (an octopus with a bride and groom), but even that was a disappointment from what was discussed in prior meetings. For the amount of money we spent, I expected more altogether. Classic Cake was a disappointment.

I ordered a wedding cake. It cost over $1000 for only 100 people. I was willing to pay based on the reputation and taste of the cakes. I had over 5 meetings with classic cake and they kept assuring me everything would be fine. The cake turned out AWFUL. The design was crooked, the colors were completely wrong, and it wasn't close to what I asked for. Moreover, when I called to complain, I have been given nothing but the runaround. This was not fair to me. I paid for something I never got. My friend just had her wedding there and had the same experience. Sadly, I couldn't tell her in time.

I have to start out with the fact that I dont really like cake. If someone has a birthday party I dont usually eat it because the icing is too sweet and the flavors are just boring. So when I went to the Classic Cake Co for our meeting I didnt really care what type of cake because I knew I probably would not be eating it. BUT. They have the most amazing flavors and the icing is amazing!!!! We choose a chocolate buttercream cake with piped vanilla flowers and it was beautiful. It was not traditional and that it what I loved about it. The rasberry cream filling was so good and the chocolate icing was also amazing! I cant even rave enough about the Classic Cake Co. Always professional when I called and the cake was beautiful. It exceeded my expectations! I will return there for sure.

The cake we received from Classic Cake was absolutely gorgeous! The choices they offer in cakes and frosting is such that you could have any cake you could possibly imagine. We opted for a simpler cake but with a custom design that matches the design on our wedding bands and they greatly surpassed my expectations. With just a print out of the design, they were able to draw the design perfectly. Not to mention how delicious the cake was itself! The cost of our cake was included in the cost of our venue, so we only ended up paying for the edible flowers, which were sculpted perfectly, but we would have gladly paid extra for the wonderful job that they did!!
